CleverSolutions Launches Autonomous and Secures Funding to Operate Autonomous Vehicle Fleets

Autonomous vehicles are considered one of the most important future markets in mobility. But while many companies are focusing on developing the vehicles and software, CleverSolutions is focusing on a different part of the value chain: operations.

With CleverSolutions Autonomous, the Berlin-based company is establishing an independent subsidiary that will manage the operation of autonomous vehicle fleets for transportation companies, municipalities, and private operators. To kick things off, the company has completed a funding round in which two of Germany’s largest bus companies are participating.

Operations, Not Vehicles, as the Business Model

CleverSolutions Autonomous is aimed at operators who want to deploy autonomous vehicles without having to build the necessary operational infrastructure themselves. Going forward, the company will handle tasks such as control center operations, fleet management, and operational processes. These are precisely the areas that determine the reliable and cost-effective deployment of autonomous vehicles in everyday use.

CleverSolutions is thus positioning itself not as a vehicle or software manufacturer, but as a specialized operational service provider for autonomous mobility.

Bus Companies Invest in the Next Generation of Mobility

The funding round is backed by Autobus Oberbayern and Geldhauser Linien- und Reiseverkehr.

Both companies have decades of experience in local public transit and view the operation of autonomous fleets as a strategic area for the future. With their investment, they aim to actively shape the transition to autonomous mobility rather than merely accompanying it. No details regarding the amount of the investment have been disclosed.

Experience from over 30 on-demand transportation services

The team behind CleverSolutions brings extensive operational experience to the table. With CleverShuttle, the founders were already among the pioneers of ridepooling in Germany.

This later evolved into CleverSolutions’ B2B business. Together with transportation companies, the firm now operates more than 30 on-demand transportation services in Germany and has established control centers, management processes, and digital operating platforms for this purpose. It is precisely this experience that will now be applied to autonomous vehicle fleets.
