Graftcode raises 2.1 million euros
The Polish developer tools startup Graftcode has raised 2.1 million euros in fresh capital, bringing its total funding to 6.5 million euros. The seed round is led by Hard2beat, with other investors including DigitalOcean Ventures and Heartfelt Capital.
Parallel to the financing, the company is launching the beta version of its platform, with which it aims to establish a new standard for software integration.
Integration as the biggest time waster in software development
A large part of modern software development is not spent on new features, but on connecting existing systems. According to studies, around 70 percent of development time is spent on integration work. This complexity leads to increasing technical debt and higher project costs - a problem that is further exacerbated by the increasing use of AI.
Platform replaces APIs and middleware
This is where Graftcode comes in and completely removes the classic integration layer. Instead of APIs, middleware or additional code, the platform enables direct communication between applications in different programming languages with just one command. This is made possible by an approach called "runtime bridging".
The advantages:
- Up to 70 % faster service interactions
- Reduced cloud costs
- Support for 14 programming languages
- Compatibility with major cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform
AI-native software architectures
With agentic AI workflows in mind, Graftcode aims to make systems compatible from the ground up.
CEO Przemysław Ładyński emphasizes that the aim is not to optimize existing integration models, but to do away with them completely. This would allow developers to focus entirely on business logic, while systems automatically become AI-ready.
Open model strategy along the lines of Docker
The platform follows an open infrastructure approach. The core remains free for developers, similar to Docker or HashiCorp. Graftcode wants to use this strategy to quickly build up a broad developer base. The target is 200,000 users by the end of 2026 and several million developers worldwide in the long term.
