Konsileo Receives 5 Million Pounds to Support Further Growth
The British insurance broker Konsileo has completed a £5 million equity financing round. The round is led by long-time investor Committed Capital in partnership with ACF Investors. The company plans to use the additional capital to attract more insurance brokers to its platform, expand its proprietary technology, and continue on its current growth trajectory.
Konsileo was founded in 2017 and now employs more than 220 people. According to the company, the independent broker arranges insurance for British corporate clients with an annual premium volume of more than 85 million pounds.
Growth Without Acquisitions
Konsileo takes a different approach than many companies in the fragmented insurance brokerage market. According to Committed Capital, the company’s growth to date has been organic and not driven by the acquisition of other brokerage firms.
Instead, the model focuses on individual insurance brokers. Konsileo seeks to relieve them of a larger portion of their administrative workload while granting them greater autonomy in serving their clients.
To this end, the company relies on a comparatively flat organizational structure. Traditional management hierarchies are to be partially replaced by coaching. According to Konsileo, the compensation model is also more closely aligned with the value that brokers create through their client relationships.
Through its own Konsileo Academy, the company also invests in the training and continuing education of its employees.
Proprietary Platform Automates Brokerage Processes
The technological foundation of the business model is a broking platform developed in-house by Konsileo.
The software automates administrative tasks and integrates compliance checks directly into workflows. At the same time, it is designed to help brokers capture information about their clients’ risks in a more structured and higher-quality manner.
This is intended to free up more time for actually advising and supporting corporate clients.
According to Committed Capital, Konsileo is now also integrating AI into the platform to support brokers in their work. However, the announcement does not specify exactly which tasks the AI handles or to what extent it is already in operational use.
Technology and Organizational Model Aim to Attract Brokers
For Konsileo, its proprietary technology is also part of its staffing strategy. The company aims to offer experienced insurance brokers an alternative to more hierarchically organized brokerage firms.
“We’ve always been convinced that good brokers do their best work when they’re given autonomy, equipped with the right tools, and supported—rather than micromanaged,” explains co-founder and CEO John Warburton.
So far, the model appears to have reached a significant scale. In addition to its more than 220 employees, Konsileo reports an annual volume of insurance premiums brokered exceeding 85 million pounds.
In May, the company was also named the best medium-sized company in the British financial services sector at the Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2026 awards.
Existing Investors Follow Up with Additional Investment
Committed Capital has been supporting Konsileo for quite some time. ACF Investors first invested in the company in 2022 and is now also investing again.
Committed Capital CEO Steven Harris sees the combination of technology and corporate culture in particular as the foundation for the company’s growth to date. The proprietary platform reduces administrative work and integrates compliance processes, while the organizational model helps attract experienced brokers to Konsileo.
ACF Investors also highlights the scalability of this approach. The synergy between technology and greater autonomy for individual agents is now expected to enable the next phase of growth.
£5 million for the next phase of growth
The additional equity is intended to help Konsileo, in particular, hire more brokers and further develop its own technology.
As it approaches its tenth anniversary, the company is thus committed to continuing its existing strategy. Rather than generating growth through the consolidation of existing brokerage firms, Konsileo aims to bring new employees—and, with them, their client relationships—onto its own platform.
With more than 220 employees and an annual brokered premium volume exceeding 85 million pounds, the model has already reached a significant scale. The key to the next phase will be whether the company can further accelerate its current organic growth and whether Konsileo can expand its technology—including the announced AI support—into a sustainable competitive advantage in the British brokerage market.
