Hans-Georg Härter, former CEO of ZF Friedrichshafen AG, and former McKinsey partner Philipp Härle join the company.

The Augsburg-based hydrogen producer establishes an advisory board and appoints Hans-Georg Härter and Philipp Härle to it. Härter was previously CEO of ZF Friedrichshafen AG and Härle was a McKinsey partner. The two managers will help the start-up in its search for strategic investors and accompany it on its way to industrial production.

"I am convinced that the sustainable production of green hydrogen will prevail. It is important for Germany as a business location that companies like Green Hydrogen Technology are successful with their innovative strength," says Härter about the start-up. Green Hydrogen Technology plans to add further members to the advisory board in the coming months.

Harald Mayer, Benedict Barth and Alfred Edlinger founded the Augsburg-based start-up in 2020. The founders are developing a process to produce CO2-neutral hydrogen from sewage sludge and plastic waste. The start-up is currently building a pilot plant in Leoben, Austria, which is set to produce green hydrogen from mid-2022. The company is now aiming to become a public limited company. In future, Härter and Härle will then act as Supervisory Board members.
