Hellobetter receives four million euros

The Hamburg-based start-up has expanded its Series A financing round, raising a total of ten million euros.
The digital therapy start-up Hellobetter has received four million euros as part of its Series A financing round. The company had already raised six million euros in capital in October last year(we reported). The new investment increases the round to ten million euros. The lead investor is Massmutual Ventures (MMV). Existing investors Healthcap, Expon Capital and Sparrow Ventures are also continuing to participate.
Hellobetter offers digital therapy programs to prevent and treat mental illness. Psychologists Hanne Horvath, Elena Heber, David Ebert and Hannes Klöpper founded the start-up in 2015. Hellobetter offers ten therapy programs to treat depression, burnout and panic disorders, for example. The Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices (BfArM) has approved four of these programs. This means that doctors can prescribe them on prescription and patients can use them free of charge.
The company intends to use the new capital to drive forward the distribution of its products on the German market and its expansion beyond the DACH region. To prepare for international expansion, the company recently joined the Digital Therapeutics Alliance industry association.
