Holidus loss falls by two million euros

Since it was founded in 2014, the platform for vacation home rentals has posted a loss in the millions every year. Holidu developed positively in the 2019 financial year.
Holidu has presented its annual financial statements for 2019. How German Start-ups reported, the company's loss fell from 6.9 million euros in the 2018 financial year to 4.8 million euros. At the same time, turnover increased from 14.8 million euros to 24.7 million euros. The start-up thus achieved its growth targets for 2019.
Holidu is a search engine for vacation homes founded by Johannes and Michael Siebers in 2014. Holidaymakers from 21 countries now use the platform. The company's investors are 38North, Prime Ventures, EQT Ventures, Coparion, Senovo, Kees Koolen and Lios Ventures. In the last financing round last May 2021, Holidu raised 37 million euros.
"With this financing, we will invest heavily in product development and double the size of our tech organization," said co-founder and CTO Michael Siebers after the financing round.
