With its e-learning platform, Berlin-based Edtech was able to convince not only Stephen Weich, but a total of no less than 40 business angels, according to a media report.

The startup Junto is said to have raised 1.2 million euros in the form of a convertible loan, as German startups reported. At the same time, 40 business angels are said to have invested in the company. Among them are Christian Reber (Pitch), Felix Ohswald and Gregor Müller (Gostudent), Stephen Weich (Flaschenpost), soccer player Mario Götze and business influencers Diana zur Löwen and Céline Flores Willers.

"The most relevant business knowledge in the world is currently trapped in the heads of a small group of leading tech operators and their successful companies," the startup writes. Junto founders Marius Hepp and Johannes Schnell-Kretschmer want to make this knowledge accessible to a wider audience. To this end, the company, founded in 2022, has developed digital leadership training. The courses are to be led by Nina Weid (Delivery Hero), Jessica Holzbach (Penta) or Markus Müller (N26), among others.

"Our vision goes far beyond a learning platform: with Junto, we give companies and talents access to the practical tools of the most successful tech companies. This gives them the chance to develop their full potential," co-founder Hepp is quoted as saying by Deutsche Startups.
