Ionos acquires stake in Stackable

The cloud and hosting provider has acquired 25.1 percent of the start-up. It would also like to offer its products to its customers in future.
The start-up Stackable now has a new strategic partner: the cloud and hosting provider Ionos from Montabaur has acquired 25.1% of the shares. The two companies have already worked together on the European cloud initiative Gaia-X.
Ionos already uses Stackable's services internally. Next year, they also want to offer the start-up's open source applications to their cloud customers. "With our investment, we are ensuring that Ionos occupies a strong position in the growing big data market," says Ionos Managing Director Achim Weiß.
Stackable was founded in 2020 by Lars Francke and Sönke Liebau. The start-up is based in Wedel in Schleswig-Holstein and operates an open source platform. Anyone can access Stackable's data analysis and processing tools free of charge.
