The Berlin-based start-up Kittl - "Europe's answer to Canva and Adobe" - has received 10.8 million euros in new capital following a financing round, reports EU Startups. The company launched its own platform shortly before the round. Kittl now apparently wants to use the new money to further expand its offering. According to the report, Left Lane Capital is leading the financing round, with Speedinvest also adding money. The angel investors involved include Intercom co-founder Des Traynor and former Bebo CEO Shaan Puri.
Kittl offers a platform on which users can create individual designs without any major technical hurdles. The start-up's offering is primarily aimed at companies that want to quickly develop their own design and branding through simplified processes. The products that can be designed via Kittl include T-shirts, posters and business cards
Nicolas Heymann and Tobias Saul founded Kittl in 2020. At the end of last year, they published their platform, on which they claim more than one million designs have already been created. The company now wants to use the new capital to hire more employees in order to develop new tools and expand its offering.
