Main Capital Partners announces the successful exit of Cleversoft to LLCP. Cleversoft has established itself as a major player in the RegTech space, providing efficient solutions for regulatory challenges in the financial industry.

Düsseldorf - Main Capital Partners invested in Cleversoft in 2018, driven by the company's high potential to become a leading provider of RegTech software. Over the course of the partnership, Cleversoft evolved from a regionally focused company in the DACH region to a leading European provider of regulatory software for financial institutions. The company has experienced impressive growth, with a more than three-fold increase in revenue.

Together with Main Capital, we have laid the foundation for the European RegTech platform, which we now want to aggressively expand globally with our new partner Levine Leichtman Capital Partners.

Strategic acquisitions played a decisive role in this, significantly improving the company's product portfolio and market presence. Main Capital Partners supported Cleversoft in the acquisition of CDDS, a renowned software provider for anti-money laundering solutions in banks, asset management and other financial institutions. Cleversoft also expanded its offering through the acquisition of BusinessForensics, a provider of financial and white-collar crime prevention solutions, and SecondFlow, an innovative provider of compliance and risk management software focused on the insurance industry.

The amount of the exit was not disclosed.
