McMakler presents good figures for 2021

The company has continued to grow despite difficulties during the coronavirus pandemic. McMakler founder Felix Jahn does not rule out a future IPO.

McMakler has presented its figures for the past year: According to them, the proptech company's turnover grew by 70 percent compared to 2020. Turnover amounted to over 92 million euros. Despite a decline in supply in the first half of 2021 due to the lockdown, the company was able to increase the number of properties by a third.

McMakler was founded in 2015 by Felix Jahn in Berlin and operates a real estate platform with permanently employed estate agents. According to the company, around 450 estate agents now work for the proptech in over 30 locations.

The start-up now wants to invest in the training of its estate agents in particular in order to continue its growth. To this end, the company is planning to further develop its training program and expand its training team. Online viewings are also to be expanded and firmly integrated into the platform.

"McMakler has proven that it can withstand challenging market conditions with its strong brand and forward-looking business model. With the expansion of our regional broker network across Germany by 37 percent, we are already in an excellent position," says McMakler founder and Managing Director Felix Jahn. Towards Gründerszene he even confirmed plans for a future IPO. The Berlin-based start-up had previously negotiated a takeover with a SPAC in the USA. The plans fell through as not enough shareholders were found.
