McMakler presents good figures for 2021

The company has continued to grow despite difficulties in the Corona pandemic. McMakler founder Felix Jahn also does not rule out a future IPO.

McMakler has presented its figures for the past year: According to these, the proptech's revenue grew by 70 percent compared to 2020. Sales amounted to more than 92 million euros. Despite a drop in supply in the first half of 2021 due to the lockdown, the company was able to increase the number of properties by a third.

McMakler has already existed since 2015. The company, founded by Felix Jahn in Berlin, operates a real estate platform with permanently employed brokers. According to its own information, around 450 real estate agents now work for the proptech in over 30 locations.

For its further growth, the start-up now wants to invest particularly in the training of its brokers. To this end, the company plans to further develop its training offering and expand its training team. In addition, online viewings are to be expanded and permanently integrated into the platform.

"McMakler has proven that it can withstand challenging market conditions with its strong brand and forward-looking business model. With the expansion of our Germany-wide regional broker network by 37 percent, we are already in an excellent position," says McMakler founder and CEO Felix Jahn. Opposite Gründerszene he now even confirmed plans for a future IPO via IPO. The Berlin-based start-up had previously negotiated a takeover with a SPAC in the US. The plans failed because not enough shareholders were found.
