NGI A/S acquires Momentum Technologies

Previous shareholders have sold their shares in the mechanical engineering start-up. The buyer from Denmark now wants to expand its product range.
The venture fund of the Aachen-based S-UBG Group has sold its shares in Momentum Technologies together with the other shareholders. Momentum is a young mechanical engineering company from Hückelhoven in North Rhine-Westphalia. The company develops, manufactures and sells so-called drum motors, which are used, for example, in conveyor technology in the food industry.
NGI A/S from Denmark has also made an investment. With this investment, the leading supplier in the field of hygienic components such as leveling feet, bearing housings and rollers wants to tap further market potential. With the drum motors from Momentum, NGI intends to expand its product range of so-called food-safe conveyor components.
"It was a great pleasure for us to accompany Momentum on this successful path to technology leadership," says Bernhard Kugel, CEO of S-UBG AG. "With the early-stage financing, which we provided together with some network partners, the development of innovative and particularly energy-efficient motors could take place and the company could be prepared for the next growth steps."
S-UBG's investment had lasted almost eight years. In that time, Momentum had succeeded in entering the market. Founded in 2014, Momentum supplies drum motors and driven rollers to the food, logistics and other industries.
