Noreja secures 1.1 million euros for process intelligence

The Viennese start-up Noreja has successfully completed a financing round of 1.1 million euros. The former spin-off of the Vienna University of Economics and Business intends to use the fresh capital to expand its sales, marketing and customer success in particular and strengthen its market position.

The company was founded by Lukas Pfahlsberger, Philipp Waibel and Jan Mendling.

Focus on "Generative Process Intelligence"

Noreja is developing a Generative Process Intelligence platform based on knowledge graphs and AI. The main focus is on understanding company processes structurally, identifying weak points and making optimization potential visible.

Building on this, AI agents will also take on operational optimization tasks independently in the future. One approach is that AI can only work effectively in companies if it understands the structural context of business processes. Noreja relies on this by systematically modeling processes and making them usable for AI.

Investors with a strong focus on SMEs and scaling

Both new and existing business angels and partners from the European tech and SME ecosystem are involved in the round. Investors include Markus Neumayr, Jan Sprengnetter, Martin Kaiser and advisor Gordana McNamara, who are providing strategic support to the company.

Scaling a new category of enterprise software

Noreja intends to use the funding to further develop its platform and position itself as a provider of a new generation of process intelligence software. The aim is not only to analyze business processes, but to actively optimize them using AI.
