Re:cap expands seed financing round

Previous investors include Felix Capital, Project A Ventures and Entrée Capital. Now the start-up gets a new important partner.
The Berlin-based start-up Re:cap has expanded its seed financing round. The equity share thereby increased to 13.3, million euros. In addition, the technology investor Mubadala Capital has joined the company. With the new capital, Re:cap aims to expand its team, improve its product and enter new European markets.
Founded in 2021 by Paul Becker and Jonas Tebbe, the fintech operates a financing platform where institutional investors can invest in the revenue streams of digital companies. It allows companies to convert up to 50 percent of their annual revenue into upfront payments. Re:cap's platform has been on the market since December.
Last year, the startup first raised €1.25 million in its pre-seed funding round. This was followed in December by the seed financing round of 100 million euros. Felix Capital, Project A Ventures and Entrée Capital participated. The new investor Mubadala Capital now gives Re:cap access to successful software companies. "Mubadala Capital, with its extensive global network and impressive knowledge in the fintech and asset management sector, is a fantastic partner for Re:cap," says Re:cap co-founder and CEO Paul Becker.
