Rezolve comes to Berlin

Retailers in Asia in particular have been using the app from London-based start-up Rezolve to connect better with their customers. Now Rezolve is also bringing its service to Berlin.
The retail sector is suffering particularly badly during the coronavirus pandemic. The Rezolve app aims to help small stores and retailers in particular to avoid disappearing from the cityscape and make shopping easier for customers. The start-up from London has so far been particularly successful in Asia, but Rezolve is now opening an office in Berlin and wants to conquer the German market. Neobank N26 is also taking part in the Berlin launch. Rezolve still describes this step as a pilot project.
"Everyone is talking about the need for digitalization, empty city centers, retail closures and the impending dominance of BigTechs - rezolve doesn't talk, but offers a solution to all of these issues as a social initiative," says CEO and CCO Peter Vesco about the mission of the start-up, which was founded in 2016.
Retailers can register via the start-up's app and then use Rezolve's infrastructure to promote their products. There are also functions such as "geo-location marketing": retailers can define geo-zones around their store and when users of the app enter this zone, they receive information about the offer of the day or new products. This is the best way to guide them into the store. Users can also point the camera of their smartphone at posters or stickers and go directly to the product pictured. The start-up also promises to integrate existing online stores. The various features are designed to simplify the connection between consumers and retailers.
