Shirin David launches her own iced tea

The Dirtea iced tea is set to hit the market this summer. For this, the rapper is working together with the beverage marketer Drinks & More.

Rapper Shirin David has announced that she is developing her own iced tea. The soft drink is to be ambiguously named Dirtea. The rapper announced this in a Youtube video that already has more than 800,000 views. Her own company Juicy Money Records is to handle sales. David cooperates with the Krombacher subsidiary Drinks&More. The subsidiary distributes Schweppes, Proviant soda and Dr Pepper cola, among others.

The Dirtea brand was added to the trademark register back in February. In addition to iced tea, Shirin David has also secured trademark rights for magnets, key chains, coasters, headwear and much more. So fans of the 26-year-old will be able to buy Dirtea merchandise as well as iced tea. David also let her followers vote on a flavor on Instagram. Dirtea's account is followed by more than 50,000 people. Fans chose blueberry over green tea/honey. David will also offer peach, lemon and cotton candy flavors. An iced tea is also said to contain alcohol.

Shirin David isn't the first rapper to have her own iced tea. Chart-topping rapper Capital Bra has also been selling his BraTee since February.
