The gastronomy start-up sends food from selected top restaurants. Now it has been able to raise plenty of capital.

The delivery service Voilà receives in a current financing round about ten million US dollars, as the Handelsblatt reports. The round is led by EQT Ventures. The existing investors Food Labs and the business angel Roger Hassan, former COO at Hellofresh, have also invested again. With the newly acquired capital, the start-up plans to expand to France. In the future, even more European countries are to be opened up.

Julius Wiesenhütter, Mostafa Nageeb and Florian Berg co-founded Voilà 2020. Wiesenhütter was previously head of Germany at the delivery service Foodora. With Voilà, the founders want to create a platform for "home fine dining." The start-up delivers pre-cooked menus from gourmet restaurants to customers' homes, which then only need to be heated up. Menus can be ordered weekly until Wednesday evening. Preparation then takes place on Thursdays and the finished dish can then be delivered throughout Germany and should arrive at the customer's home on Fridays. In addition there is still a suitable music playlist, in order to create the correct atmosphere with the meal. According to its own information, 1200 cities have already been supplied.
