Wajve, the fintech of the two founders of deineStudienfinanzierung, was only launched in May. The concept convinced investors like EQT Ventures and 468 Capital, who gave five million euros in seed funding.

Just last month Bastian Krautwald and David Meyer announced the launch of their second startup Wajve, now they announce the closing of a successful seed financing of five million euros. The round is led by EQT Ventures, joined by 468 Capital and OMR, as well as a number of business angels including Lucas von Cranach, who is CEO of OneFootball, Roland Grenke, who co-founded Dubsmash and Acapela Group, and Cosi CEO Christian Gaiser.

Wajve aims to be the financial platform for Generation Z, where banking, knowledge and advice can be found in one app. The beta version is set to launch later this year. "Already after the first talks, we recognized the team's special understanding of the needs of Gen Z," explains EQT Ventures partner Lars Jörnow. "As a trusted companion of Gen Z, Wajve has the potential to become an important and unique fintech player in the European market."

Krautwald and Meyer founded deinestudienfinanzierung in 2018, and fintech Wajve joined in May 2021. The start-up does not yet have a banking license, and talks are currently underway with licensors such as Solarisbank. Krautwald has big goals: "We have the ambition to become the strong financial partner for Gen Z across Europe with Wajve and help the next generation achieve financial stability and independence."
