Zalando top manager quits

Barbara Daliri-Freyduni's position was supposed to be split in two, now the top manager handed in her notice at the fashion group.
Movement at Zalando's management level: Barbara Daliri-Freyduni, Senior Vice President of Demand, is leaving the company. According to information from Gründerszene, she handed in her notice. This seems like a bad omen for the campaign "Here to stay", which she is responsible for and which advocates for more diversity and inclusion in the company. Criticism of the lack of women in Zalanda's executive ranks has been around for some time. Just last week, Astrid Arndt was appointed as HR director, the first woman on the board.
Daliri-Freyduni's position was supposed to be split in two, marketing and markets, and filled by two women and one man, even before she was fired. Daliri-Freydunis would have considered this a demotion, as Gründerszene and Business Insider claim to have learned. Zalando itself wanted to give her one of the positions. Now all three positions will have to be filled, with one already decided: Bruno Vanhoorickx, who was previously senior vice president of corporate development, will be responsible for markets.
Daliri-Freydunis had worked in senior positions for Google and Netflix, among others, before her role at Zalando, and her post at the fashion group was created specifically for her. She joined Zalando only one and a half years ago.
