Zeitgold loses one of its founders

In 2015 he founded Zeitgold together with Jan Deepen, now Stefan Jeschonnek is leaving the fintech. The reason is a change in the company structure.

has learned. Stefan Jeschonnek is no longer CEO as of May 11, but will remain with Zeitgold as an advisor. The reason for his departure is a "change in the official structure."

Founded in 2015, the fintech digitizes receipts for the self-employed and small business owners to simplify accounting. Zeitgold has raised a total of €50 million over the years, with the fintech closing its latest funding round in May 2020. The following July, Zeitgold announced the end of its software and laid off 75 employees at its Tel Aviv and Berlin locations. Today, the company is trying to launch new software under the name Sorted.Jeschonnek is one of Zeitgold's two founders, along with Jan Deepen, and the startup was already struggling in the red before the Corona pandemic. In 2019, Zeitgold's loss was 15 million euros.
