28.5 million euros for Avi Medical from Munich

The future of medical practices combines digital services with local doctors: At least, that's the concept of a start-up. Now the Munich-based company has closed its financing round.
The start-up Avi Medical opens its third hybrid practice in Munich and raises 28.5 million euros. The round is led by health tech fund Heal Capital and New York investor Addition. Also on board are existing investors Picus Capital, Vorwerk Ventures, ID Invest, 3VC and Claret Capital Partners, as well as various business angels.
The money is to flow into the further development of software and the opening of additional practices. Initially, the hybrid practice model will only be available in Bavaria, and in the longer term throughout Germany. "We see ourselves as pioneers in the field of GP care," says CEO Vlad Lata. Avi Medical takes over existing panel doctors' offices and provides care for both privately and statutorily insured patients in its practices. The start-up was founded in 2020 by Lata, Christoph Baumeister and Julian Kley.
"It was time to bring a breath of fresh air into GP practices and holistically integrate digital solutions into patient healthcare. This ultimately benefits everyone," says Robin Godenrath from Picus Capital.
