Two million euros for Solarize

Solarize wants to simplify the billing of tenant electricity. The start-up has now received capital for the market launch of its solution.

Solarize has received two million euros from investors. Picus Capital and Millennium Venture Capital led the financing round. Ten business angels also support the team with know-how.

With the investment, the start-up wants to bring its Microgrid Operating System to market. The system facilitates the billing of electricity costs for multi-tenant properties. Thus, several tenants can use the electricity from the photovoltaic system on the shared building themselves. Previously, this was hardly possible, so the electricity generated had to be fed into the public grid and then bought back. To do this, Solarize has combined a metering system with software.

"Solarize clearly has sustainability as its goal: We are advancing the energy turnaround in high-consumption commercial properties and will establish ourselves as the first address in the field of tenant electricity for commercial buildings," says Solarize founder and CEO Frederik Pfisterer. "We want to make an active contribution to the energy transition as well as decentralized power generation and distribution. Thanks to our SaaS solution, both commercial property owners and tenants benefit."

Pfisterer founded Solarize in 2020 together with Andi Weiß and Florian Feigenbutz in Stuttgart. The tenant power solutions are already being used by the property managers of Berliner Häuser Verwaltungs-GmbH and leisure investment.
