The investors include three of Europe's best-known founders: they all launched Decacorns today.

Munich-based start-up Sento.io was able to expand its pre-seed funding round, landing a total of two million euros. Investor Picus Capital leads the round. A number of new investors have also stepped in, including founders of three decacorns Celonis, Checkout.com and Zalando, as well as Flatiron Health, Forto and GoCardless. Managing partner of venture capital and private equity firm DST Global, Tom Stafford, has also joined.

Sento.io offers software solutions for the automated, digital, exchange of documents such as purchase orders, delivery notes and invoices. All of this has so far mainly been related to the relationship between retailers and their suppliers. Big names such as Edeka, Rewe and DM are already said to be on board. The company wants to invest the capital mainly in the further development of the product and the enlargement of the team. In addition to the already implemented connections of grocers and suppliers, further use cases are to be added next.

"Our vision is to create a global infrastructure to bring B2B data exchange into the 21st century," says co-founder and CEO Felix Krauth. The whole thing should work cloud- and API-based, he adds. Oliver Heinrich, partner at investor Picus Capital, believes in the company's potential: Within a very short time, he says, the company has "created a plug-and-play platform that can already be used to connect a large part of the German grocery trade via API."
