Anthropic raises 65 billion US dollars and reaches almost trillion-dollar valuation!
The AI company Anthropic has closed a Series H financing round of 65 billion US dollars. The round was led by Altimeter Capital, Dragoneer, Greenoaks and Sequoia Capital. Following the completion of the financing, Anthropic is valued at 965 billion US dollars.
Other investors include Capital Group, Coatue, D1 Capital Partners, GIC, ICONIQ, XN and numerous global investment houses and strategic technology partners. In addition, committed investments from hyperscalers totaling 15 billion US dollars will be included in the total financing, including 5 billion US dollars from Amazon.
Claude establishes itself as an enterprise platform
Anthropic is currently benefiting from a sharp rise in demand for its Claude AI platform. The company states that more and more global companies are using Claude for central business processes.
According to Anthropic, annualized revenue already exceeded the USD 47 billion mark in May 2026. Since the previous financing round in February, usage by both corporate customers and private users has increased significantly. The new funds will be used in particular for security and interpretability research, the expansion of computing capacities and the further development of products and partnerships.
Massive expansion of the AI infrastructure
Alongside the funding, Anthropic is also massively expanding its infrastructure. The company has signed new agreements with Amazon for up to five gigawatts of additional computing capacity. Further partnerships are in place with Google and Broadcom for next-generation TPU infrastructure and with SpaceX for GPU capacity within the Colossus systems.
Anthropic is building the bridge between the current state of enterprise AI and the next stage of development.
Alfred Lin, Sequoia Partner
Claude is now the first Frontier model to be available simultaneously on Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure. AWS remains the company's primary cloud and training partner.
Strategic hardware partnerships
In addition, a number of strategic infrastructure partners are participating in the round, including Micron, Samsung and SK hynix. These companies play a central role in the supply of memory, storage and logic chips required for modern AI systems.
As demand for Claude increases, Anthropic says these partnerships will be critical to ensure the necessary scaling of infrastructure.
Competition for global AI leadership intensifies
The new financing round underlines the increasing dynamics in the competition for global leadership in the AI market. Anthropic is increasingly positioning itself as a central platform for enterprise AI and complex workflows.
Claude is increasingly becoming an indispensable tool for some of the world's most demanding organizations.
Brad Gerstner, Founder and CEO of Altimeter Capital
With the new funding, Anthropic is finally one of the dominant companies in the global AI industry. It will be exciting to see how Anthropic and Claude compete with OpenAI and the changes announced by Alphabet regarding Gemini.
