Bayreuth establishes start-up center

By 2025, a center for start-ups is to be established in collaboration with the University of Bayreuth. There is already a "StartUp Point", which provides advice and support for start-ups. Space can also be rented for working.
The battle for start-ups in cities is tough. They should stay, even if they grow up, and not migrate to the start-up metropolises such as Berlin or Munich. The city of Bayreuth is also making efforts and wants to build a Regional Innovation and Start-up Center (RIZ) by 2025. The Franconians are also planning a new institute building for entrepreneurship and innovation. All projects are being developed in close cooperation with the University of Bayreuth.
The "StartUp Point" already offers a contact point for anyone who wants to start a business or just has an idea, and connects them with other stakeholders. Ideas can be presented and evaluated by experts on specific dates. The "StartUp Point" will move into the RIZ once it is completed.
In addition, office and work space is already available to rent, for which start-ups or idea owners must apply and are selected. Various events also offer insights into the start-up world, award prizes for good ideas or network founders.
