Bayreuth establishes start-up center

By 2025, a center for start-ups is to be established in cooperation with the University of Bayreuth. There is already the "StartUp Point", which provides advice and support on all aspects of setting up a business. In addition, space for working can be rented.

The battle for start-ups in cities is tough. They should stay, even if they become big and not migrate to the start-up metropolises like Berlin or Munich. The city of Bayreuth is also trying and wants to build a Regional Innovation and Start-up Centre (RIZ) by 2025. The Franconians are also planning a new institute building for entrepreneurship and innovation. All projects are being worked out closely with the University of Bayreuth.

Already now, the "StartUp Point" offers a contact point for all those who want to start up or even just have an idea and networks them with other actors. At specific dates, ideas can be presented and evaluated by experts. The "StartUp Point" is to move into the RIZ after its completion.

In addition, there is already office and work space for rent, for which start-ups or idea holders must apply and are selected. Also, various events offer insights into the start-up world, award prizes for good ideas or network founders.
