beatsquares Closes Seed Round of Over $2 Million
The Berlin-based AI startup beatsquares has closed a seed funding round of $2 million (approximately 1.8 million euros). The round was led by IBB Ventures and XTR Capital. Other participants include ddvg, V-Ventures, the media impact arm of the Dutch Veronica Foundation, and several business angels.
This funding follows a pre-seed round of $500,000 in 2024. With the fresh capital, beatsquares plans to further develop its product, expand its team, and drive international expansion.
AI automatically delivers content to the right audience
beatsquares is developing an AI platform that automatically adapts content to the appropriate channels and formats. Its target audience includes publishers, communications departments, brands, and thought leaders who want to efficiently distribute their content across various platforms.
The technology analyzes content and tailors it to specific audiences for various distribution channels—including social media, newsletters, podcasts, and proprietary digital offerings. This enables editorial and communications teams to increase their reach without having to produce additional content.
First High-Profile Clients Already On Board
Among the Berlin-based startup’s first clients are the Süddeutsche Zeitung, the Tagesspiegel, and Messe Berlin. With these references, beatsquares now aims to enter its next phase of growth.
The company sees itself as an AI operating system for professional communication and focuses on intelligently distributing existing content rather than concentrating solely on creating new content.
Founders with Media and Technology Experience
beatsquares was founded by René Bosch, Mark Page, and Peter Dyllick-Brenzinger. The founding team brings together many years of experience in journalism, media management, and technology development.
René Bosch was previously deputy editor-in-chief of BILD; Mark Page is a co-founder of the hydrogen company HH2E and was part of the leadership team at the management consulting firm Kearney; and Peter Dyllick-Brenzinger was previously responsible for product development at Axel Springer and the publishing platform Purple.
Growth in the AI Market for Media and Communication
With this new funding, beatsquares aims to expand its position in the growing market for AI-powered communication solutions. The company is supported in this effort by a network of experienced professionals from the media, advertising, and technology sectors.
The funding round underscores investors’ growing interest in applications that use artificial intelligence not only for content creation but, above all, for the intelligent distribution and scaling of professional communications.
