Bit Capital launches two new crypto funds

The Berlin fund company Bit Capital now wants to offer crypto investments. The focus is on tokens and Bitcoin.
Jan Beckers is one of the best-known figures in the Berlin start-up scene. His investment company Bit Capital, based in Berlin and Hong Kong, manages over 1.4 billion euros. Now he wants to launch two new funds.
With the "BIT Global Crypto Leaders" fund, Beckers wants to reach average investors. The investor is primarily focusing on companies that are listed on the stock exchange and aim to generate crypto profits, as the magazine FinanceFWD reports.
The fund already holds 35 companies. Ten percent may flow into crypto tokens. The issue premium, which is payable when purchasing shares, is to be three percent. There is also a management fee of 0.96 percent. The aim is to outperform the market with the fund's performance - and to outperform the price of Bitcoin, for example. Becker's company Bit Capital has also invested money in the fund: so far it has invested three million euros, with further investments from the fund company to follow.
With a second new fund, Beckers also wants to invest more heavily in tokens. However, he is not focusing on average investors: investments are possible from 200,000 euros. Bitcoin and Ethereum are to account for a maximum of 40 percent of the fund.
Beckers is known throughout Germany for having founded numerous companies. These include the fintech Finleap and Ioniq. He has already launched a total of 25 start-ups. He founded Bit Capital over four years ago.
