Bit Capital launches two new crypto funds

The Berlin-based fund company Bit Capital now wants to offer crypto investments. Tokens and bitcoin are the focus here.

Jan Beckers is one of the best-known people in the Berlin start-up scene. His fund company Bit Capital, based in Berlin and Hong Kong, manages over 1.4 billion euros. Now he wants to launch two new funds.

With the fund "BIT Global Crypto Leaders", Beckers wants to reach average investors. In doing so, the investor is primarily focusing on companies that are listed on the stock exchange and aim for crypto profits, as the magazine FinanceFWD reports.

The fund already carries 35 companies. Ten percent may thereby flow into crypto tokens. The issue surcharge, which is due when purchasing shares, is to be three percent. In addition, there is a management fee of 0.96 percent. The goal is to outperform the market with the development of the fund - and to outperform the Bitcoin price, for example. Becker's company Bit Capital has also put money into the fund: so far, it has invested three million euros, and further investments by the fund company are to follow.

With a second new fund, Beckers also wants to invest more heavily in tokens. However, he is not relying on average investors: investments are possible from 200,000 euros. Bitcoin and Ethereum are to make up a maximum of 40 percent of the fund.

Beckers is known throughout Germany for having founded numerous companies. Among them, for example, the Fintech Finleap or Ioniq. In total, he has already launched 25 startups. He founded Bit Capital more than four years ago.
