Choco takes over ordering app Refill

The acquisition of Refill is expected to give Choco's customers access to a wider range of services.
Unicorn Choco is strengthening its market in western Germany with the acquisition of the Refill app. The purchase price is not known. "We are pleased to welcome Refill to Choco and to now be able to offer Choco technology to all Refill customers. By using our digital platform, they will now have access to many more innovative features and service offerings that will make their daily ordering processes even easier and more secure," said co-founder and CEO Daniel Khachab.
Choco is a company that connects suppliers and restaurateurs. The Berlin-based startup achieved unicorn status in April and has a presence in the U.S., Germany, France and Spain, among other countries. Through a chat message, customers order goods and are said to save time, money and food.
"We have been working with Choco for some time and are convinced that handing over our product to the global market leader is the right move," says Bijan Mashagh, co-founder and CEO of Refill.
