The Berlin team has big plans. This year, the number of customers of the travel start-up is set to triple.

Berlin-based startup Circula has closed a €4.3 million funding round, Gründerszene

reports. The money comes from existing investors Capnamic Ventures and Main Inkubator, with Wenvest Capital a new addition. Circula's valuation is now in the double-digit millions.

Circula offers companies a simplified and digital expense and travel report for employees. The startup was founded in 2017. Its customers include neobank N26, air taxi manufacturer Lilium, the Federation of German Industries and pharmaceutical manufacturer Orthomol. Circula has about 400 customers.

The Corona pandemic caused business to slump recently. According to the start-up, business was down almost 70 percent. For this year, however, the goals are set high: the number of customers should double, partnerships with tax advisors should be intensified and DAX corporations should become customers.
