These are the nominees for the Saxon Founder Award

Ten start-ups were able to prevail, now it goes into the final round. The initiators will award the prize on 14 July.

FutureSAX, Saxony's innovation platform, has announced the nominees of the Saxon State Award for Founding, Transfer and Innovation. A total of 30 applications were accepted for the upcoming jury session: ten for the Saxon Start-up Award, eight for the Saxon Transfer Award and twelve for the Saxon Innovation Award. The winners will be awarded on July 14 during the FutureSAX Innovation Conference.

Four nominees for the Founder's Prize come from Dresden, three from Leipzig. The application of a start-up planning its future headquarters in Saxony is also among the top 10. The field of life science, medicine and health is particularly well represented with three nominations. The other nominations are in the mobility/transport, trade/e-commerce and craft sectors, among others.

"The nominees impress with their great innovative strength and great ideas across all sectors and come from rural and urban regions," says Saxony's Minister of Economic Affairs Martin Dulig (SPD). "Many of the nominees and award winners of previous years were able to successfully continue on their path and, with the help of their innovative strength, also weather crises like the current one well." A total of 150 applications were registered. There are 170 experts on the jury. There is also an audience award, which can be voted for here

The nominees of the Founders Award are:

- Additive Drives from Dresden, 3D-printed electric motors.

- bodenlicht-design from Neumark, floor lighting and escape guidance system

- Brotgefuehle from Leipzig, daily fresh gluten- and wheat-free vegan baked goods

- Sciendis from Leipzig, Wundera, digital helper for nursing documentation

- Semodia from Dresden, semantic modeling in the process industry

- Team AidBoardsk from Dresden, disposable furniture made from renewable resources for humanitarian aid

- Team Flexora from Dresden, flexible sensor foils for industry 4.0

- Team FungAI from Freiberg, cultivation of edible mushrooms by means of AI, as well as mushroom production waste recycling to PLA

- Team Lubis Eda from Kaiserslautern, Agile Hardware Development, chip design of the future.

- Tediro from Leipzig, mobile robotics platform for therapy and diagnostics
