Among other things, the organizers awarded the Saxon Founder's Prize and the FutureSAX Audience Award. A total of 110,000 euros was up for grabs.

The Dresden-based start-up Additive Drives, led by founder Philipp Arnold, won the Saxon Founder's Prize. The company, which was founded just last year, produces 3D-printed parts for electric motors. "The founding team of Additive Drives is rethinking the electric motor and is operating in a rapidly expanding market," said Founder Prize juror Michael Schwarz from the Leipzig Porsche plant.

Second place goes to the founding team Flexora from Dresden around Clemens Haist, which develops printed sensor foils for Industry 4.0. Flexora is currently still in the pre-founding phase and plans to launch next year.

Tediro from Leipzig wins third place. Founder Anke Mayfarth has developed a robotics platform for therapy and diagnostics, which is intended to provide relief in the medical and care sector. "Tediro develops mobile robots to accompany orthopedic rehab therapies," says Founder Award juror Martin Pfister from High-Tech Gründerfonds. The FutureSAX audience award was won by Dresden-based start-up Nicama (formerly Apinima) by Zeno Kakuschke. Nicama develops and sells plastic-free everyday products.

The award ceremony took place during the Saxon Innovation Conference. "The number and quality of submissions for the Saxon State Prizes for Founding, Transfer and Innovation show that the innovative strength of Saxon founders, entrepreneurs and scientists remains high despite the Corona pandemic," said Saxony's Minister of Economic Affairs Martin Dulig (SPD). The prize money that the Minister distributed to the winners amounts to 110,000 euros.
