Dixa acquires Solvemate

In a dual acquisition, the customer service company acquires both the Berlin-based start-up and the French company Miuros.

Danish company Dixa acquires Berlin-based start-up Solvemate. At the same time, Dixa also buys the analysis company Miuros. The double acquisition costs the customer service company $43 million.

Dixa aims to help brands worldwide improve their customer service. Since 2015, the company has offered various solutions on its platform to automate it. Solvemate also wants to make customer service more automated. Erik Pfannmöller, who founded the Berlin-based startup in 2015, has developed a chatbot that answers questions and determines the right contact person. "Customers now don't have to wait long for answers and companies don't have to answer the same queries over and over again," Pfannmöller said. The chatbot allows service teams to have more time to provide differentiated customer service, he said.

Solvemate's chatbot brings a self-service layer to Dixa's platform. "By adding Miuros and Solvemate to our offering, we are creating a unified environment where we leverage data for automation, measurement and insight. In doing so, we are setting an entirely new standard in data-driven customer service," says Mads Fosselius, CEO and co-founder of Dixa.
