Drifter World secures SEK 36 million to roll out AI-based parking system in Sweden and drive innovation in mobility

HISINGS BACKA, Sweden, December 16, 2024 - Drifter World has successfully secured SEK 36 million in a new funding round. The round was led by Imperia Fastigheter under the leadership of Niclas Ericsson. Knutsson Holdings and Per-Olof Andersson also increased their shares.

New Chairman

At the same time, there is a significant change in the company's management: Michael Persson, co-founder and former Chairman, is stepping down from his position, but will remain closely involved as an advisor and major shareholder. Billy Jörgensen, an expert in international business law, compliance, intellectual property and technology law, will assume the role of Chairman. With his experience, Jörgensen will further strengthen the strategic direction of Drifter World.

I am honored to support Drifter World in this important phase. Michael has laid a strong foundation and his advice will continue to be valuable.

The Drifter World business model

Drifter World transforms traditional parking management through innovative, AI-driven technologies and optimized user solutions. At its core is the DrifterBOX, an intelligent platform that automates the management of parking spaces, improving both efficiency and user experience. With features such as real-time vehicle detection, occupancy monitoring and violation detection, the solution offers owners seamless integration into a wide range of parking environments - including compatibility with all standard OCCP charging stations.

In addition, dynamic spot pricing enables charging tariffs to be adjusted to current electricity market prices, resulting in a better energy grid balance and lower costs for users. Features such as plug-and-charge and digital parking permits create maximum convenience by eliminating the need for physical maps or apps. The Drifter app also offers drivers easy navigation to charging stations and flexible, usage-based payment.
