Energy startup partners with Hager to scale tenant electricity solutions

Stuttgart, December 2, 2024 - Stuttgart-based energy startup metergrid has successfully closed a €3.5 million seed extension financing round. The round was led by strategic investor Hager, with additional support from 468 Capital, Mätch VC and several business angels.

In addition to the equity investment, metergrid has agreed a partnership with Hager to combine the expertise of both companies and develop innovative solutions for tenant electricity projects. This cooperation strengthens metergrid's mission to revolutionize the energy supply of multi-party buildings through digital and scalable solutions.

Synergies between metergrid and Hager: working together for the energy transition

Hager contributes expertise in energy distribution, energy management and building control, while metergrid comes up trumps with its software platform for tenant electricity projects. This platform offers tools such as profitability analyses, billing functions and a user-friendly tenant app.

The partnership aims to make tenant electricity models simpler and more efficient. This also includes training courses for electrical installation companies and solar installers to prepare the industry for the increasing requirements. Together, the partners are developing scalable complete solutions that are both economically attractive and sustainable.
