Femna Health receives millions from investors

Berlin-based Femtech offers women self-tests for home use. Now it is raising capital.
Many drugs in studies are only tested on men, yet most drugs are produced for both sexes. According to a report by NDR, a distinction is also often made between men and women when it comes to diagnosis, even though women can have different symptoms for the same illness. According to Deutsche Startups.de, several investors have now invested a seven-figure sum in the start-up Femna Health in order to further promote gender-equitable medicine in Germany.
The main investors include Ingo Schütte, Suman Rewari, Atreyu Investments, Rubina Hunger-Rewari, BACB Beteiligungsgesellschaft, Moritz Hilger and Alexandra Pries and existing investor IBB Capital. The young company offers easy access to detailed diagnostics, education and personal counseling, as well as integrative therapeutic solutions for women from home. This primarily relates to self-tests for cystitis, thyroid disorders and sexually transmitted diseases. Femtech was founded in Berlin in 2016 by Maxie Matthiessen and is, by its own account, a women-led start-up.
