Funke Mediengruppe takes over Edition F

In August, the feminist magazine filed for bankruptcy. Now the future is clear: Edition F will become part of Funke's lifestyle segment.
Funke Mediengruppe is taking over the feminist media brand Edition F, which was founded in 2014, after it had to file for insolvency in August. Funke is not disclosing the purchase price. Edition F includes an online magazine, various newsletters and social media channels, all of which will continue to operate. The "Female Future Force Day", which takes place once a year in Berlin with around 3,000 participants, will also be continued.
Edition F will thus become part of Funke's lifestyle segment. Brands such as Donna, Gofeminin and Myself are also organized in this segment. The media group is also responsible for marketing. This project will be managed by Katharina Seifert and Nicole Bielicke, who have already managed other women's magazines for the Funke Media Group.
Anne-Kathrin Heier will remain part of Edition F as Editorial Lead. "She is a top-class journalist with an excellent network," says Barbara Brehm, Managing Director of Funke Lifestyle, commenting on the appointment. The content focus on feminist topics at Edition F will remain unchanged. "We are not perfect yet, but we want to make our contribution to a more diverse, more equal world," says Bianca Pohlmann, Managing Director of Funke Zeitschriften. "Internally and externally."
