The start-up Hye offers drinks and adds herbal food supplements to them. The Gibisch brothers have now invested.

Some celebrities invest, others set up their own companies. The latest example: Cathy Hummels has launched the drinks start-up Hye. The brothers Denis and Daniel Gibisch, who founded the organic soup start-up Little Lunch together and appeared on the Vox show "Die Höhle der Löwen" in 2015, are also involved. They only sold their company this year and have been active as investors ever since; Hye is their first investment. At the start-up, they reunite with their former CFO Andre Klan, who joins Hummels as a founder.

Hye offers drinks in various flavors with the herbal boosters adaptogens and nootropics, which are said to have a stress-relieving and relaxing effect. Adaptogens are also known as winter cherries and are said to increase the ability to concentrate, while nootropics are said to promote the production of the hormones serotonin and dopamine. So far there are four flavors, with more to follow. However, according to a report in the Gießener Allgemeine, the ingredients are controversial.

However, the quartet obviously sees an opportunity for Hye: Klan came up with the idea for the start-up, the Gibisch brothers have been involved as investors from the outset and Hummels is supporting them as a co-founder with her reach on social networks.

The start-up could therefore also become a competitor to the start-up Air up, which is not trying to make water more palatable with food supplements, but with scented pads.
