Gigafactory to be built in Hamburg

The Digital Hub Logistics is relocating and almost tripling its space. The new center will open in November.
The Hamburg start-up center "Digital Hub Logistics" is moving to new premises. The hub plans to celebrate its launch in the new offices, which now cover 3,200 square meters and are therefore also known as the "Gigafactory", as early as 8 November 2022. This is significantly larger than the 1200 square meters previously occupied by the contact point for start-ups in the fields of logistics, mobility and e-commerce.
The hub was originally founded as part of the DE:Hub initiative, which was launched by the Federal Ministry of Economics in 2017. The initiative was intended to create an ecosystem for young companies and start-ups to drive innovation. The ten-strong team at the soon to be larger Hamburg hub aims to ensure more exchange and creativity among start-ups.
Johannes Berg, Managing Director of Digital Hub Logistics, says of the plans: "The relocation of the Digital Hub Logistics to new premises is visible proof of our success, which means we can now also offer new opportunities to growing start-ups from all over Germany".
