Gorillas lose manager again

Felix Chrobog has left the Berlin start-up. This is already the second departure of a manager within a short time.

The previous COO Felix Chrobog has left Gorillas. Officially, family reasons are communicated. However, Chrobog was not able to cope with the rapid growth of the food delivery company, reports Gründerszene

with reference to sources in the company. Chrobog already left the company at the end of April. He last held a three percent stake in Gorillas. The manager only joined the delivery service in August 2020. He previously worked at e-scooter start-up Tier, where he was responsible for the German-speaking region. Before that, he was the head of Germany at food delivery company Deliveroo for three years.

Chrobog's post as COO will not be filled, but the duties will be divided among the other managers. Already three months ago, co-founder Jörg Kattner left Gorillas. Also at that time it was said that the company had grown too much for him.

In March, Gorillas was able to raise a financing round of 290 million US dollars. This elevated the Berlin-based startup to unicorn status after just ten months in operation. Most recently, it became known that Gorillas wants to raise money again:

this time, the start-up wants to receive just under 500 million euros. That would make it worth six billion euros.
