gyde secures 4 million euros in financing

Stuttgart-based startup gyde supports decentralized organizations with AI and secures new growth capital.
Stuttgart, December 18, 2024 - Stuttgart-based startup gyde, a provider of training platforms for companies, has raised 4 million euros in a new financing round. With the support of venture capital funds LEA Partners and Mätch VC, gyde aims to expand its digital solutions to make knowledge sharing in decentralized organizations more efficient. The platform combines artificial intelligence with flexible learning formats and is aimed specifically at sectors with operational employees such as nursing, facility management and technical field service teams.
Challenges in the skills shortage
The shortage of skilled workers is increasingly presenting companies with the challenge of adapting the knowledge and skills of their employees to current requirements. Industries with a decentralized character and many operational employees are particularly affected. According to gyde co-founder Lukas Heinzmann, the situation is exacerbated by the fact that these companies need to provide more training and education, but at the same time lack the time and resources for traditional face-to-face training.
Professions in care, building services or facility management are among the top 10 shortage occupations. These companies are faced with the difficult task of imparting knowledge while their employees are already working at full capacity.

Training concept with AI and a mobile-first approach
The gyde platform relies on a combination of micro-learning units delivered via a mobile app and virtual group coaching sessions. The mobile-first solution enables employees to access relevant knowledge on the go at any time - be it in the form of training documents, quick guides, product data sheets or explanatory videos.
With our app, operational employees can access the knowledge relevant to them in the appropriate form - whether they are in the branch, on the construction site or in the care home,

With the use of artificial intelligence, the platform can customize content and provide it with pinpoint accuracy.
Support from industry giants and investors
gyde's vision has not only won over customers, but also renowned investors and industry giants. Former Würth Group CEO Peter Zürn is a member of the start-up's advisory board and emphasizes that gyde fills an important gap.
Nowadays, there is not only a lack of the right material at the place of use, but also a lack of the necessary knowledge to use it correctly. gyde makes this knowledge available in seconds.

With the latest financing round, the venture capital funds LEA Partners (Karlsruhe) and Mätch VC (Stuttgart) are securing gyde's growth plans. Investor Nils Seele from LEA Partners sees a great need for innovative training solutions for employees without a fixed workplace: " Most training providers ignore the needs of employees in distributed teams. This leads to high costs to train these teams on site. gyde offers a viable, cost-efficient alternative."
Expansion of the product range and new goals
With the fresh capital, gyde plans to further develop its platform and introduce new functions. One focus is on the AI-supported provision of knowledge, which gives employees quick access to exactly the information they need in their day-to-day work. The aim is to increase the efficiency of training courses while improving the learning curve and employee productivity.
In addition, the team, which now has 20 members, is working on developing new use cases in the area of specialist training. Sales-oriented field sales teams in particular should benefit from the expanded functions, as they establish a direct connection to the customer and therefore offer immediate sales leverage.
Customer base and growth prospects
Since its foundation in 2020, gyde has acquired over 60 customers in Germany, Switzerland and the USA. Customers include Zeiss, Scharr and OLYMP, among others. Thanks to the mobile, flexible and AI-supported solution, gyde is spreading particularly quickly in operational areas with little desk work.
