Klim secures USD 22 million

Regenerative agriculture on the rise. The financing round supports international market expansion and strengthens the startup's position in the agricultural industry

Berlin, November 12, 2024 - Berlin-based AgriTech startup Klim has closed a Series A financing round of 22 million US dollars, led by BNP Paribas. The capital is intended to drive global expansion and the development of financial services to promote regenerative agriculture worldwide. Other well-known investors such as Earthshot Ventures and Rabobank are also participating in the round.

Support for regenerative agriculture as a business segment

Klim has been active since 2020 and helps food companies and farmers make the transition to regenerative agriculture. The start-up's digital platform offers agronomic advice, financial support and a networking platform for farmers. The aim is to reduce CO₂ emissions and secure crop yields by improving soil quality and storage. The start-up's sustainable insetting solutions are also designed to help companies reduce their Scope 3 emissions.

Financing round strengthens international expansion and platform development

Klim plans to use the new capital to expand its global reach and extend its service portfolio on the platform. "Our global food system is undergoing a profound transformation, and Klim is at the heart of this change," says CEO Dr. Robert Gerlach. The company already serves 3,500 farmers worldwide and works with well-known food brands such as Nestlé and Kaufland.
