Digitalization of the construction industry. After a successful Series A round, Kraaft plans to expand its "Super App" and enter new markets such as Germany and the UK.

Paris, January 21, 2025 - The French company Kraaft, developer of a "Super App" for construction site management, has closed a Series A financing round of 13 million euros. Led by Dawn Capital, a leading European investor in B2B software, Brick & Mortar and existing investors Chalfen Ventures, Stride VC and OSS Ventures also participated in the round. The funds will primarily be used to further develop the app and expand into Germany and the UK.

Kraaft: a platform for modern construction site management

Kraaft was founded in 2020 and has established itself as a comprehensive project management tool for the construction industry. The mobile application is already replacing conventional communication and project management tools such as WhatsApp in over 1,000 European companies. With functions for photo documentation, logging, safety checks and interactive workflows, Kraaft centralizes construction site management in real time and thus promotes efficiency and communication on construction sites.

App for direct conversation

The app enables construction companies, which typically deal with a large number of workers and external partners, to optimize their processes. This includes improved traceability in the event of changes to construction plans and a significant reduction in communication errors, which cost the construction industry billions every year.

Expansion into new markets

The successful funding from the Series A round will help Kraaft to further develop its platform and drive growth in other European markets. Germany and the UK are a particular focus.

With this funding, we will initiate the next phase of growth, add new features to our product and scale into key markets such as Germany and the UK

Thomas Reygagne, CEO of Kraaft

The construction industry as an obstacle to digitalization

The construction industry is one of the largest economic sectors in the world, but is struggling with stagnating productivity. For over 20 years, little progress has been made in digitizing the sector, which is also reflected in investments. Only 1.7% of the sector's IT expenditure is spent on digital tools. Kraaft addresses this problem directly by developing a user-friendly, collaborative app that enables construction companies to benefit from digitalization without the need for extensive training.

Geolocation with the app

With Kraaft, construction companies can make their workflows more efficient by processing daily change orders and adjustments in construction plans much faster and more transparently. According to Kraaft, the improved traceability leads to an increase in profit margins on construction projects of up to 15 %.

Future prospects: Further functions and AI-supported workflows

Kraaft is planning to introduce new functions in 2025 to make the app even more powerful. These include simplified tools for planning and time tracking, API integration for a seamless connection with other platforms such as Procore and AI-supported workflows that automate repetitive tasks to further increase efficiency.

Kraaft was originally developed for factory work, but found its way into the construction industry during the COVID-19 pandemic. Construction workers began using the app to collect photos and daily reports, which showed the founders the potential of the sector. Since then, Kraaft has become an indispensable tool for more than 1,000 companies, including renowned industry players such as VINCI and Bouygues.

The app is available in five languages and now supports communication and project management on more than 230,000 construction sites in Europe. With the successful financing and the planned expansion, Kraaft is well positioned to further digitalize the construction industry and make it more efficient in the coming years.

Kraaft as a pioneer for the digitalization of the construction industry

With the completed Series A financing and the planned expansion, Kraaft represents an important step in the digital transformation of the construction industry. By introducing innovative, user-friendly and AI-supported tools, Kraaft helps construction companies to increase their productivity, reduce costs and optimize construction site management.
