Lendis lays off 15 percent of its employees

Just a few months ago, the start-up announced a successful financing round. Nevertheless, some employees are now to leave.
The wave of layoffs continues. Start-up Lendis is apparently laying off 15 percent of its team. "Unfortunately, I am one of the many people affected by the recent layoffs at Lendis, and I am looking for a new job," writes a former employee of the startup on Linkedin. Several terminated Lendis employees have made such posts in recent days. The start-up states on its website that it currently employs 100 people. So the terminations are likely to affect 15 employees.
"Lendis continues to grow, but due to the current economic situation and the difficult funding environment, it had to decide to take this step in order to successfully and sustainably navigate through the crisis," co-founder Stavros Papadopoulos told Gründerszene.
Papadopoulos co-founded the company with Julius Bolz in 2018, and the startup offers a B2B software solution that allows companies to select, procure and manage their work equipment. In January this year, the startup had raised €80 million in funding. The capital came from Circularity Capital and Keen Venture Partners, among others.
