Momox founder invests in reverse retail

Christian Wegner is getting into the luxury second-hand fashion start-up. He is to invest a seven-figure sum in the company.
Momox founder Christian Wegner becomes an investor in Reverse Retail, an online retailer for designer second-hand fashion. Wegner, who also founded Wisemarkt, will not only become a shareholder but also an advisory board member of the company.
Brands such as Buddy&Selly and Vite EnVogue operate under the umbrella company Reverse Retail. Co-partner and managing director Marcus Schönhart welcomes the investment, saying, "With Christian Wegner, we will fully exploit the potential of this market."
Christian Wegner himself recently made headlines with the fact that unknown persons had misused the warehouse of his start-up Wisemarkt in Berlin as a party venue. A post by him on Linkedin on this topic went viral. Meanwhile, he has big plans for Reverse Retail: "My vision is that one day more secondhand items will be bought and sold than new goods." He now wants to drive that forward with his new investment.
