Nomitri raises 2.5 million euros

The start-up's shopping assistant enables customers to self-checkout at retail stores. The start-up has now convinced a well-known investor.
As EU start-ups reported, the Berlin-based startup Nomitri has received €2.5M. Foodlabs led the financing round, and previously invested business angels and family offices have also participated.
Trinh Le-Fiedler, Max Fiedler and Moritz August founded the start-up last year. Nomitri has developed a shopping assistant for smartphones. Using a cradle, customers of retail stores attach their own smartphone to the shopping cart and scan their purchases with it. The technology is based on artificial intelligence and can be integrated into the retailers' app. The app enables companies to learn more about their customers' shopping behavior. At the same time, their privacy is to be preserved.
Nomitri now wants to use the capital to expand its business network and expand the development team. Currently, the technology is still being tested in the Edeka Lüning supermarket chain.
