Picus Capital expands management team

The Munich-based venture capitalist appoints Raphael Mukomilow as Partner and Head of Growth. Previously, the newcomer was at McKinsey and Stirling Square Capital Partners.
Picus Capital is getting support: the company announced that Raphael Mukomilow is joining the Munich-based venture capitalist as Partner and Head of Growth. The fund, which was launched in 2015, is owned by Alexander Samwer, who founded Rocket Internet with his brothers. Mukomilow joins from London-based private equity firm Stirling Square Capital Partners, before which he worked for McKinsey.
"This new position on our team is a key component in the consistent implementation of our philosophy of being a long-term and entrepreneurial sparring partner for our portfolio companies," Robin Godenrath, one of the partners at Picus Capital said of his new colleague.
The venture capitalist operates from its offices in New York, Berlin, London and its headquarters in Munich and invests primarily in early-stage start-ups. Picus Capital's portfolio includes Home24 and Personio, for example.
