Podcast platform Podeo secures 5.4 million US dollars

Dubai, September 30, 2024 - Podeo, a podcast distribution platform, has raised $5.4 million in a Series A funding round. The company will use the funds to help podcasters make their content more discoverable and increase monetization. The round was led by Oraseya Capital, the venture arm of the Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority, with participation from Ibtikar Fund, Cedar Mundi Ventures and other investors.

With over 500 million podcast listeners worldwide and a constantly growing market environment, the podcast market is set to grow to over 234 billion US dollars by 2030. However, the biggest challenge for podcasters remains the discoverability of their content. This is exactly where Podeo comes in.

The founders, who already initiated the Fallound project, a podcast platform for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, have made Podeo a major player in the industry.
With the new funding, Podeo plans to expand its global presence, particularly in emerging markets. The platform's AI-powered tools will be further developed to better support podcasters and advertisers.
