Prematch receives 2.4 million euros

The soccer platform Prematch has successfully completed a financing round of 2.4 million. The startup relies specifically on business angels with lead investor Scahdeberg Family Office.

Prematch is a platform for amateur soccer that offers personalized news, detailed match statistics and individual profile pages for players with gamification elements. Users can add favorites and receive personalized news and results for almost all matches at the weekend.

The round was led by the Schadeberg Family Office, while a pool of successful business angels, including Ralf Reichert, the Unicorn Co-Founder & CEO of ESL Gaming, and Verena Pausder, entrepreneur, author and co-founder of FC Viktoria Berlin, also invested. Patric Fassbender and Marcus Stahl, founders of Tonies, also participated in the financing round.

The soccer platform aims to change the experience of amateur sport. The idea behind it is simple: players, teams and clubs should take center stage. Every player gets their own page on the platform where they can present themselves and their content. This not only means more visibility, but also the opportunity to network with other players and make friends.

The platform's business model is based on partnerships with national brands that can get involved in amateur soccer through prematch campaigns. The campaigns are presented on the platform and targeted at players and fans.

We see that real soccer will quickly gain in importance due to this trend and the advancing digitalization

The founders of the platform are certain: by focusing on the players and working closely with partners from the business world, the amateur soccer experience will be taken to a new level. The first partnerships with national brands have already been rolled out and the response has been consistently positive. In the future, the platform will be further expanded to reach even more players and teams and to make the experience of amateur sport even more personal.

About Prematch

Founded in July 2021, the startup Prematch is headquartered in Cologne and currently employs 18 people. The company was a participant in the WHU Accelerator and closed a financing round of 1.7 million euros in the summer of 2022. One of the investors at the time was Gorillas co-founder Jörg Kattner(we reported). The founding team consists of Fiete Grünter, Lukas Röhle and Niklas Brackmann.
