Swiss progress in software testing: progile secures significant funding for its AI-driven test automation platform.

progile, a Zurich-based AI company, has successfully closed a seed funding round of 1.3 million Swiss francs. The funding will be used to drive the development and distribution of its TestResults.io platform, which focuses on autonomous software testing.

TestResults.io aims to improve the reliability of software, which is increasingly important in a digitized world. According to Tobias Müller, co-founder and CEO of progile, more than 70% of business processes depend on software. However, the quality of software is continuously decreasing as there is currently no test automation solution that can be tested from the user's perspective without technical dependencies and is reliable at the same time. The platform uses artificial intelligence to optimize the software testing process.

The investors

Spicehaus Partners led this financing round, together with NCA, Zürcher Kantonalbank and NewForge, founded by Mirko Novakovic and former executives of Instana, which was sold to IBM for 500 million dollars. This is the first financing round for progile, which was previously funded through bootstrapping.
